The purpose of GlebeHarbor.Com is to allow any property owner or lessee under the management of Westmoreland County Virginia, concerning the Glebe Harbor-Cabin Point Sanitary District, the Glebe Harbor Community as well as the Cabin Point Community, to express their views ask questions or seek answers concerning the Glebe Harbor-Cabin Point Sanitary District, the Glebe Harbor Community as well as the Cabin Point Community.

Joining the Glebe Harbor-Cabin Point Sanitary District is now mandatory if you own property within Glebe Harbor or Cabin Point. You will also become a mandatory Member of the Glebe Harbor-Cabin Point Association as well. In 2016/2017, the Recreational User Fee (RUF) was $190.00 per Property Owner. In 2017/2018, this fee was increased to $200.00. In 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 our fee was not increased. It has been posted that our 2020/2021 budget year will stay at the current rate of $200 per property owner multiplied by each taxable lot.

It is my opinion as well as many, many others that this fee should never need to be increased, unless it is due to unforeseen catastrophic events. It is important to point out that this fee is set by the Westmoreland County Board of Supervisors after they have received input from the Glebe Harbor-Cabin Point Association Board of Directors, after having first received input from the Glebe Harbor – Cabin Point Sanitary District Membership. Before the Glebe Harbor – Cabin Point Association Board of Directors can submit any budget proposals increases to Westmoreland County, they are required to received input from our Membership.

This first mission of GlebeHarbor.Com is to help any Property Owner that belongs to the Glebe Harbor-Cabin Point Sanitary District, better understand our governing documents. The second mission of GlebeHarbor.Com, is to do everything within our legal rights to make sure our Recreational User Fee, is only increased due to catastrophic events.

Our Community no longer consist of a small group of Property Owners Association Members that their BODs had complete authority over. This went on for decades with a small percentage of Members in our Community that paid their initial and annual dues to belong to their own private country club. We are now a Sanitary District that is operated by Westmoreland County, that has 1,017 Members as of 2016 with the ability to cast their vote, voice their opinion to the Westmoreland County Board of Supervisors and have a voice in developing as well as shaping the future of our Community. Hopefully by February 14 2020, we will have a short video here on how to navigate our website.
