Community Statistics

This is a work in progress and it will need to be updated as the data comes in. Since we were turned over to Westmoreland County and became the “Glebe Harbor-Cabin Point Sanitary District“, every lot owner is now a member of the Glebe Harbor – Cabin Point Association Inc.

According to Westmoreland County, the total number of lots in Glebe Harbor and Cabin Point, as of June 13th, 2018, is 1,463.

Please keep in mind that this does not reflect the number of lots that have been combined, due to the recent turnover to Westmoreland County when we became a Sanitary District. I will do my best to hone these numbers to a more defined example of just how many lots we have, compared to how many lots that have been combined.

In my defense, the GH-CP Association does not have an exact number either, according to our last meeting on June 2nd, 2018. These stats will be broken down into the following areas.

  1. Total Homes, (developed lots) as of June 13th, 2018.
  2. Total Lots.
  3. Total undeveloped lots.

Glebe Harbor

  1. Total Developed Lots. (Homes). 269.
  2. Total Lots. 802.
  3. Total undeveloped lots. 533.

Cabin Point

  1. Total Developed Lots. (Homes). 245.
  2. Total Lots. 661.
  3. Total undeveloped lots. 416.

The next step is to see how many Lot Owners, own more then one lot or have combined their lots due to being turned into a Sanitary District. So as it stands right now, June 13th 2018, there are 514 homes within both subdivisions. That leaves 929 undeveloped or combined lots within both community’s. These numbers will help define how many members actually have homes/live in our communities, compared to how many lot owners, simply invested in properties within our two communities that are undeveloped.

UPDATED ON AUGUST 22nd, 2018: On or about August 10th 2018, the Glebe Harbor-Cabin Point Association posted a snapshot concerning our community. The information they provided is the information I needed to finish our community stats. You can click here to view this information on their official community website.

So now that that information has been provided, and according to the math, we have 1370 taxable lots with 1,017 lot owners. This leads me to believe that 353 lots have been combined, resulting is a loss of $70,600.00 for the taxable year of 2018/2019, that can not be collected by Westmoreland County, at a rate of $200.00 per lot owner. If my figures are incorrect, please let me know and I will update this page.
