Where is Beaver Pond Beach?

Even though we purchased our home in Glebe Harbor in October of 2016, we have only lived here full time since October of 2018. We have never been to Beaver Pond Beach. Every one we asked, told us it was accessed through a path on Huntsman Way. Even our official website for the GH-CP Association states this.

At one time that may have been the case, but in November of 2018, this path is so over grown, it is just about 100% inaccessible. I often check out our official website for the GH-CP Association to keep up to speed with what is going on with our Sanity District.

Someone asked the same question we have asked many times. They asked their question via the “WeAreListening” section of our official website. Yesterday, we decided to hunt down this mythical beach. In our opinion, it is one of the best beaches we have but is probably not used as much as our other beaches, due to parking as well as being able to access the beach.

The video below shows how you can access this beach, as well as what it looks like. If you try and access it via Huntsman Way, you may want to pack a lunch, your going to need the energy!

From What I was told some time ago, there are all private properties around that beach. There is just a right-of-way walking path. We almost bought the property with most of the wetlands on it, but decided against it as the envelope to build was extremely small and wet lands(pond) can be mosquito heaven,

Someone told me just about the same thing you stated, concerning the right-of-way. Sometime this week or next week, I will try and make contact with the home owners off of Cabin Point Rd., to see if they know exactly where their property boundaries are on the beach side. Clearing the path from the drain swell to the beach would be a piece of cake if it is on the existing trail. Clearing the path from Huntsman Way and around the pond, would be a nightmare as well as extremely time consuming and expensive! That’s just my opinion though. 🙂
